Book Review: A Passion for Him by Sylvia Day

Writer's picture: Amy LittlefordAmy Littleford

STRANGER He wears a mask...and he is following her. Staring at her like no other man since Colin. But Colin is dead and Amelia believes she will never again shiver with pleasure, never again sigh his name. LOVER Until her masked pursuer lures her into a moonlit garden and a single, reckless kiss. Now she is obsessed with discovering his identity. Perfectly attuned to his every desire, his every thought, she will not stop until she knows his every secret.

My Review:

Rating: 4/5 stars.

As this book seemed to carry on from the second in the series it was a great relief to be able to cling onto the characters in book 2 but get to know lesser characters more in book 3. Book one seems like a bit of a blip with barely any link at all. I enjoyed getting to know Amelia and Colin and thought the revelation was dealt with well. I have seen reviews that criticise Day for the Ware/Amelia/Colin triangle. It isn't in anyway a love triangle and I think those qho see offence are very prudish. Ware and Amelia are just friends and it is clear throughout the story. It is more Amelia's need to not be selfish like her father. The love Colin feels for Amelia is above that of anyone else. I'm looking forward to reading the next book and hope we see other characters from the series in this one too.
