Book Review: Passion for the Game by Sylvia Day

Writer's picture: Amy LittlefordAmy Littleford

Infamous for satisfying his limitless wants and desires, Christopher is a free man again. And this time he's on a mission to engage, deceive and seduce the one woman as ruthless as he is when it comes to dangerous games of passion . . . Far from innocent in the ways of men, Maria is one step ahead of Christopher's every move. It doesn't mean she isn't enjoying every delicious look, every unbridled kiss, every moment of abandon. Neither of them could have imagined the moment when they would meet their match--or that they would surrender to each other again and again . . .

My Review:

Rating: 4/5 stars.

I wasn't sure I would enjoy this book because I didn't think the first in this series had the best storyline. Saying this, I preferred this book, the second in the series, a lot more than the first. Christopher and Maria were so similar. The strength they both had and their reputations matched. Seeing them both resist their feelings for each other was very entertaining. A few instances I had to check the historical accuracy which ended up being completely accurate and left me in awe of Sylvia Day at how much she invests in each story. The storyline behind the love affair was much more exciting and had me gripped throughout. It was nice to be introduced to the next two characters in the series, Amelia and Colin and I look forward to reading it! Amy x
